.

Community -- Marie Grant

Marie reported that we have raised something in the order of $1600 from Freddo Frogs and that Bowel Scan sold a total of around 300 kits, which gives the Club a profit of around $600. She thanked those people who had given so much help during the bowel scan program, and reported that people were still calling into the Pharmacies and requesting kits.

Vocational -- Graeme Bosanquet

There will be around 24 people attending the PA. Hospital on 26th May, 2003. People are to meet on the 4th Floor of the PA Hospital at 6.30 p.m. sharp.

Graeme has been approached by one of the school's to see if he could source around 15 computers for their disadvantaged students. It was suggested that he ask Allan Short to approach DIK as they have spare machines, which they are only too happy to pass on the disadvantaged students.

International -- Darryl Hood

Anna has sent an email to Noel and he will forward it on when he has a chance.

The GSE team has arrived. As Noel may have to go down to Victoria at a moment's notice he may not be able to billet the GSE team member as promised. David Cocker has agreed to take him if necessary. Darryl has paid for the tickets to the Aussie Rules for Saturday night out of his own pocket. Darryl looks forward to prompt re-imbursement.

New Generations -- Stephen Hendey

A programme called "Adventure in Citizenship" is to be held in Canberra for 1 week from the 16 to 23rd August, 2003 and is open to Year 11 Students. The course will cost $750 for each child and includes airfares to and from plus course fees and lunches. The students will be billeted so accommodation will not be a cost. The Rotary Club concerned must pay the fees.

Stephen is to reply stating that due to the shortness of time in before the close off date we are unable to participate this year but that we would be interested next year and would suggest that details be circulated much earlier in order to have time to conduct proper interviews with potential students.

Secretary -- Lorraine Howson

Richard Horne from District is trying to collate a member's register, which will be included on the District Web site. Some of the information required does appear to be unwarranted and direction is sought as to whether this information should be sent to District or not. It was unanimously agreed that the personal information should not be sent on to District, as there are privacy issues to be considered.

The request from DGE Des Lawson re Loganholme Rotary Club helping with District Conference for the 2004/2005 year was raised. It was decided that as this would be in David Cocker's year his agreement should be sought before letting Des know of our agreement.

Meeting closed at 9.35 p.m.
