COLONEL (RETIRED) DAVID R. COCKER
He progressed through the ranks from sold ier/tradesman to the senior executive officer rank of Colonel. David retired from the Armed Forces in January 1999. During his career David experienced several career transitions from soldier to officer, vehicle mechanic to electrical and mechanical engineering, then on to logistics and finally working in the area of strategic planning. David has served in nearly every state of Australia, and has travelled extensively throughout all of Australia in relation to his service. He has lived in Malaysia, England and the United States of America, whilst having visited extensively through Asia, the Middle East, and China. Due to his role in logistics and strategic, contingency planning, David initially worked as a consultant to business seeking to change their direction in management and supply chain management. Another career transition now sees him working in the insurance environment in relation to worker's compensation. David provides factual investigative support to field operations for WorkCover Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Investigators, a Fellow of the Australian College of Defence and Strategic Studies, and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). David is married
to Robyn and together they have four children and five grandchildren. Both enjoy
entertaining and golf. | ||
