AG Peter Nelson

Born in Sydney, Peter attended Fort Street High School and the University of NSW, where he graduated with a Diploma in Architecture. In architectural practice in Brisbane since 1981, he has been active on both professional and state government committees. Currently he's president of the Building Designers Association of Queensland (BDAQ), and a director of the Building Designers association of Australia (BDAA).

He has served on numerous Government committees, involved in matters such as building codes, planning acts, pre-qualification, and as a referee for the Building and Construction Tribunal. When called upon, he participates in task force forums. His work with Construction Queensland in relation to offshore projects now sees him involved in contract negotiations on behalf of Queensland companies seeking to operate in Northern China.

A member of the Rotary Club Of Loganholme since1993, he served three years as Vocational Service Director before becoming president in 1998/99. He has served as an Assistant Governor for three years, firstly responsible for Zone 1 clubs. This is this second year as AG International Service. He is a trustee and committee member of the District 9630 Headquarters Project Development, responsible for design/

He is married to Suzanne, and they have seven children and thirteen grandchildren.
